APPR

The goal of these documents is to present a complete APPR Plan for the District which is consistent with Education Law 3012-C and support 30-2 of the Commissioner’s Regulations. This plan is set forth by the Holley Central School District in order to comply with mandates of the law and regulations.
 
The Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) Plan was developed in a collaborative manner between the Holley Central School District’s Administrative Team and the Holley Teachers’ Association. The foundation for this plan is the belief that the job of teaching is multi-dimensional, and that no one document can adequately profile all of the complex facets of our profession. It is also our belief that the professional review process should focus on supporting educators as they continually improve their craft. This process is not intended to be applied in a perfunctory manner; it is intended to provide valuable feedback for teacher reflection. We value the recognition of each teacher’s strength, and seek to support each teacher by providing points for consideration toward continuous improvement.
 
Quality rating and effectiveness scores available
In accordance with NYS Education Law Sections 3012-C (10), parents and legal guardians may request the final quality rating and composite effectiveness score for each of the teachers and for the principal of the school building in which your student(s) is assigned for the current school year. The District will also provide you with an oral or written explanation of the composite effectiveness scoring ranges for final quality ratings, and an opportunity to understand such scores in the context of teacher evaluation and student performance. If you are interested in obtaining this information you should contact Robert D’Angelo, Superintendent to obtain the request form that needs to be completed before any information can be released.
