The New York State Department of Education mandates the following yearly screenings:
- Vision: All new entrants plus students in grades Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7 & 11
- Hearing: All new entrants plus students in grades Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7 & 11
- Scoliosis: Girls in grades 5 & 7; boys in grade 9
