Monday Message from Ms. Schiavone

Holley Elementary Families,

Thank you so much for your patience as we work through these crazy, unexpected times. I am sure you have many questions about what to expect in the coming weeks, but not all questions can be answered yet. I will stay in contact with our families as any new information becomes available.

I hope this information will help answer some of your questions for this week.

The Elementary School offices will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. through the remainder of the closure. Parents can pick up student work and personal items today (3/16) until 7 p.m., and tomorrow (3/17) from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

You will be asked to sign in at the main office window when you come in to pick up work. If you need school supplies to go with your child's work (crayons, paper, pencils, etc.), please do not hesitate to ask. If your child has something in their lockers that they need, ask for that as well, and we will gather it for you. Parents of fifth graders will be able to sign out their child's laptop for home use, if needed. Please note that we do not have laptops or tablets to loan out to all of our students.

Below is what you can expect when you pick up student home learning packets:

  • Pre-K: one envelope per child
  • Kindergarten: one ziplock bag of work
  • 1st grade: one envelope with one week's worth of work, more to come directly from the teachers
  • 2nd grade: a little baggie with passwords, logins and directions; invitations to Schoology coming directly from teachers
  • 3rd grade: one envelope of work with online login information and passwords
  • 4th grade: one envelope of work with online login information and passwords
  • 5th grade: one envelope of work with online login information and passwords
  • 6th grade:  one envelope of work with online login information and passwords - ELA and math only being sent home at this time - other subjects yet to come

  • Band: lesson and practice sheets - see Holley ES webpage
  • Music: see Holley ES webpage

This week we will begin food service on Wednesday, March 18.  Pick up will be from 8-10 a.m. at five locations.  You can pick up free breakfast and lunch for any child age 0-18.  The locations are Clarendon Town Hall, County-Line Rd. and Gulf Rd, Fancher-Hulberton-Murray Fire Hall, Holley ES back bus loop, and Thomas Estates bus loop.  Please watch for updates on food delivery dates and locations.

I will have a flyer from our mental health team coming soon with information you can share with your children about this situation.

I know this is a lot of information at once, so I appreciate your patience. Please check the Holley CSD website and email regularly for updates. Thank you to everyone for their support as we work diligently to meet the academic, nutritional and emotional needs of our students and Holley CSD families.
