Greetings Holley School Community,
Yesterday, you received an email from the district with some new information about our at-home learning plans. Due to the Governor’s order from earlier in the week, all school districts in NY State are mandated to continue to provide learning materials, even during what was previously scheduled as our Spring Recess next week.
We understand that many of you may need to take some time for your families and recognize the religious holidays next week, so we aren’t starting with new instruction until Monday, April 13. We hope the work provided to you by teachers for next week keeps your children reading, reinforcing skills, being physically active, and engaging in the arts, as well as establishes a daily learning schedule.
Starting today and each Friday during the time we’re closed, teachers will post assignments with the expectation that students will complete that work throughout the following week. Teachers will also provide suggested guidelines and schedules to help students and families plan.
Information regarding our third quarter report cards was in yesterday's email. A decision about our fourth quarter reporting isn’t decided yet, but it will begin on Monday, April 13.
As a reminder, our food distribution plan for next week will provide meals on Monday (4/6) through Thursday (4/9). To recognize Good Friday on April 10, our staff will not be working that day. We will provide additional meals on Thursday, April 9 to cover Friday, April 10.
