District Update - June 5, 2020 - Vote
Greetings Families and all in the Holley School Community,

Our school district budget vote and Board of Education election is well underway. So far, we have received more absentee ballots to District Office than the amount of total votes we had in the 2019 process altogether. Thank you for your participation!

If you have not voted yet, there is still time.  As has been reported, all ballots have to be returned to the district by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. However, on June 5, the Governor announced that there is a possibility that the voting deadline could be extended.  If the deadline does change to a later date, we will notify the public as soon as we have that new information.

In the event that the deadline stays as originally reported, please plan on getting your ballot back to us right away, to ensure it’s received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday (6/9).  Ballots can be mailed, but it may be better to place them in the ballot collection box located outside District Office. As a reminder, ballots received after the deadline cannot be counted. If you haven’t received a ballot, you can still request one by emailing [email protected]. Please contact us by using that email address or calling 638-6316, ext. 2003, if you need a ballot or have any questions about this process. We appreciate you exercising your right to vote!

As we prepare to conclude our school year, we have plans for finalizing our daily breakfast and lunch distribution. We are committed to providing our students daily breakfast and lunch during weekdays through June 30. Our planned last day for distribution will be Friday, June 26. On that day, students will also receive meals for Monday (6/29) and Tuesday (6/30). This will be similar to how we distributed meals on the Friday prior to Memorial Day weekend. We are still working out details for our summer food program, which will be announced as soon as those plans are finalized.

With the pandemic and so much else going on in the world, please hug your children for us. We have sent resources to students and done our best to connect remotely, but nothing compares to the love they feel at home. We wish we could have more in-person contact with our students at this time, and we truly look forward to that opportunity. However, if your child is struggling and could use support (academically, socially or emotionally), please reach out. We will do our best to assist, as together, we are better.

Have an enjoyable weekend everyone. Stay Strong, Holley!
