Budget Vote and Board Election Information
On May 1, 2020, Governor Cuomo announced that all NYS school budget votes and school board member elections originally scheduled for May 19, 2020, will now take place on June 9, 2020. Board elections and the budget vote will be conducted via absentee ballots.  All ballots must be returned to our District Office by 5 p.m. on June 9 in order to be counted.  All eligible voters will receive a ballot and a prepaid postage envelope to return it in.  
 
The Budget (Annual) Hearing will take place on May 26, 2020 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. A link to this meeting will be posted on the district website. 
 
If you are unsure if you will receive a ballot, are renting property within the Holley Central School District, have never registered with Orleans County Board of Elections, or recently turned 18 years old, please email [email protected] to request an absentee ballot. Please include each individual's name and address in order to be mailed an absentee ballot. You do not have to be registered with Orleans County in order to receive a ballot, as long as you are considered qualified according to NYS Education Law. To be considered a qualified voter, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and have lived in the Holley Central School District for at least 30 days. 
 
Anyone interested in running for the Board of Education must submit interest by 5 p.m. on May 11, 2020 to the District Clerk, Connie Nenni at [email protected]. Information must include interest, current address, and an acknowledgement of being qualified to run. Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and have lived in the Holley Central School District for at least 30 days.
