Adult Tests Positive for COVID-19 at Holley Elementary School - 11/10/20
November 10, 2020

Greetings Holley Families and Staff,

Today, we learned that an adult who works in the Holley Elementary School building tested positive for COVID-19. The individual does not work directly for Holley CSD. The last day this person was on our campus was Friday, November 6. The district is unable to legally disclose any additional details or personal identifiable information about this individual per the federal privacy laws.

The district will work with the Department of Health (DOH) to assist with any contact tracing if that is deemed necessary. The DOH will typically go back 48 hours from the onset of symptoms or the date of the test to determine any order of quarantining of individuals of close contact with this person. In this situation, since the individual was last here four days ago, it’s not known if anyone will be contacted. Any communication of the need for quarantine will come directly from the health department. If the DOH indicates there is anything further that needs to occur at the school building or district level, we will keep you updated.

It is recommended that students and staff members continue daily monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 which could include fever, loss of taste or smell, headache, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, fatigue, congestion or runny nose, body aches, and/or nausea. If these or unusual symptoms occur, please consult your medical provider.  Thank you.

Please continue with safe practices of mask wearing, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.

My best to all,

Brian Bartalo
Superintendent of Schools
