Sad News
Hello Holley Families,

I am sure that many of you have heard the sad news that our friend, Evan Valentine, passed away Feb. 21.

This is a loss to our school and our community, as many have rallied around Evan for the past couple of years.

Our hybrid learning makes this news especially difficult, as we find comfort in being around those we have relationships with. Having some of our students in person, and some remotely, make it difficult for us to check in on everyone.

We have mental health staff available at the HS on Monday, Feb. 22, until 5 p.m. We also are here from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Feb. 23. Students learning in-person and needing support should check with an adult to see where they can go. If you are learning remotely, you are welcome to come to the school during any of those times.

Death is difficult for us all to deal with. We all handle this in different ways. We want you to know that it is ok to need and ask for support.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Valentine family. They have continually felt the love of this community.

If you or your child need additional support, or have questions on how to help teens through this, please reach out to our teachers, counselors or administrators.

Thank you.

Sue Cory
MS/HS Principal
