Happy New Year Holley Staff, Students and Families,

Shortly after we return to school from our break, we will be able to supply COVID-19 test kits to families so that each student in our district can test at home.

All school districts in NYS are being given at-home rapid test kits at no cost, so that all students can have a COVID-19 test soon after returning from the holiday recess.

These tests will not be mandatory for students to be in school, but families are encouraged to pick one up for each student in their home and to utilize them.

This effort is intended to ensure the safety of all by having students tested soon after the holiday break, when they may have been exposed to the virus.  

We are scheduled to pick up the test kits designated for our district on Monday, Jan. 3, at BOCES 2 in Spencerport. After we receive our tests and finalize plans, there will be a district communication sent that will have the details (when, where and how) for distribution.

As a reminder, these tests are free and will be available for every student, but they are not required.  

Thank you to families for monitoring students’ health as we enter the new year and especially for not sending students to school if they are sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms.
