Positive COVID-19 Student Cases

February 5, 2021

Dear Holley Central School District Families and Staff,

This notice is to inform you that two Holley CSD students have tested positive for COVID-19. One student attends the Alternative HS program at the Elementary School, whose last day in-person was Jan. 22. The other attends the MS/HS, whose last day in-person was Feb. 4. The district is unable to legally disclose any other additional details or personal identifiable information about these individuals per the federal privacy laws.

The health department has indicated to us that there is currently no additional quarantining required of other students or staff members due to close contact with these particular cases. These cases are not connected to the report from yesterday. If anyone is contacted by the department of health due to contact with one of these individuals outside of school, please call the MS/HS nurse’s office (638-6316, ext. 5100) to report that situation. Thank you.

We recommend that students and staff members continue daily monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 which could include: fever, loss of taste or smell, headache, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, fatigue, congestion or runny nose, body aches and/or nausea. If these or unusual symptoms occur, please consult the school nurse or your medical provider.

Please continue with safe practices of mask wearing, social distancing and frequent hand-washing.

Thank you for your continued efforts to remain safe.

Brian Bartalo
Superintendent of Schools
