Greetings Holley Families,
Due to the suspicion of a gas leak early this morning, prior to student arrival, we made the decision to keep our MS/HS students on buses until more information regarding the severity of the situation could be made.
Once it was determined by the fire department and gas company that there was a gas leak from a heating unit and that it wasn't going to be safe to enter the building for a long period of time, the decision was made to send the MS/HS students home for the day.
The need to transport all the MS/HS students home would have caused the Elementary School bus arrival times to be very delayed. Given that the elementary students would arrive to school late, along with already having an early dismissal time due to the scheduled half-day, the decision was made to close the district to all students because of this emergency.
Please note for today:
- Parent conferences at the Elementary School will be conducted as scheduled.
- All after-school clubs or other activities at the MS/HS are canceled.
- Coaches will be in contact with athletes regarding sports team practices that are scheduled.
