School closings and other emergency information will be announced as soon as it is available. Please make sure that your child is aware of any emergency plans you have made for him/her.

 

In the case of an unplanned early dismissal, K-12 students will be transported home by bus. However, pre-K students will need to be picked up by the parent, guardian or adult listed as an emergency contact on their student information forms.

 

A voice message will be sent to students' primary contact number in the case of an emergency. Parents need to be sure their child's school has current telephone numbers, so that they do not miss out on important communications. 

 

The school district will notify the following media with school closing/emergency information: WROC-AM 950, WBBF-AM 1120, WHAM-AM 1180, WHTK-AM 1280, WBEE-FM 92.5,  WAIO-FM 95.1, WCMF-FM 96.5, WPXY-FM 97.9, WBZA-FM 98.9, WDVI-FM 100.5, WVOR-FM 102.3, WKGS-FM 106.7, and WNBL-FM 107.3; Rochester stations: WROC-TV (Channel 8), WHEC-TV (Channel 10), WHAM-TV (Channel 13) and Spectrum News (Channel 9); and Buffalo stations: WGRZ-TV (Channel 2), WIVB-TV (Channel 4) and WKBW-TV (Channel 7).

 

Closings will also be posted on the home page of this website, as well as on district social media accounts. 

 

Please do not call the school district as phone lines must be kept open during such emergencies.
