In order to be eligible to vote, you must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- a U.S. citizen
- a legal resident of the Holley Central School District at least 30 days immediately prior to May 16, 2023
Voters:
- Do not have to own property.
- Do not have to register in advance.
- Do not have to be a parent or have children in school.
Proof of Residency:
Voters must bring photo identification with them on May 16, 2023, in order to participate in the 2023-24 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election. Voting inspectors will ask voters to show their driver’s license or other photo identification.
Absentee Ballots:
Qualified voters may obtain applications for absentee ballots from the office of the Clerk of the School District in the Elementary School building. Completed applications for absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than Tuesday, May 9, 2023, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, and no later than Monday, May 15, 2023, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. No absentee ballot will be counted unless it has been received at the office of the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on May 16, 2023, the day of the election. A listing of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be available for inspection by any qualified voter of the district at said Clerk’s office on each of the five days prior to the election, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
A district resident unable to vote because of military service, as defined by Regulations of the Commissioner (Part 122), who is absent from the district on the day of the election, or the spouse, parent, child or dependent of a voter as described above, accompanying or being with such voter, if a qualified voter of the State of New York and a resident of the district, may request an application for a military ballot. Applications may be requested from Connie Nenni, District Clerk, by mail at 3800 North Main Street, Holley, NY 14470; by telephone at (585) 638-6316, extension 2003; or by email at

In a request for a military ballot application or ballot, the military voter may indicate his/her preference for receiving the application or ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail. Military ballots must be received at the District Clerk’s office no later than 5 p.m. on May 16, 2023, the day of the election.
