The Alzheimer's Awareness Teen Scholarship is now open! Applicants are asked to write an essay (1,500 word maximum) or submit a video (4 minute maximum) describing the impact of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia-related illnesses on themselves or their family, what they have learned, and how they intend to advocate and bring awareness to Alzheimer's and dementia in the future.

The Past National Commander Michael J. Kogutek American Legion Scholarship Trust: This scholarship is intended to assist Veterans, their families, and patriotic students who share the ideals of the American Legion. Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to students/veterans attending college in 2024. Students must submit a scholarship application, Essay of 500 words or less, as well as two letters of recommendation.

WNY R-AHEC Scholarship: $1000 for high school seniors pursuing a degree in healthcare. Students who are interested will be required to submit a completed application, school transcript, acceptance letter from college or certificate program, and an essay. The essay must be in 500 words or less, tell why you are pursuing a career in healthcare and why you should be the recipient of this scholarship. For more information check out:

Make All the Difference Scholarship and Awards: Make All the Difference Scholarships and Awards recognize students for whom alternative education has made all the difference and provides financial support to cover expenses related to education, career training, or apprenticeships after high school. Students must meet the following criteria to apply; student is enrolled in Monroe2-Orleans BOCES WEMOCO program of one full year or longer, GED, Special Education with an IEP, or at least one year in alternative education programs,. Students must also successfully complete high school in current year and the student will continue education or career training after high school. 2025 Accounting Diversity Scholarship: The MMB Accounting Diversity Scholarship is for senior minority students seeking to pursue a career in accounting. This will be a $2,000-per-year scholarship renewed for up to 5 years. To apply students must identify with an ethnic minority, have applied to a college in NYS offering an accounting program that would lead to licensure as a CPA, and have accounting as their major field of study. NACME Scholarships
To be eligible to be named for any of the NACME administered scholarships students must either be a high school senior applying to an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, or be currently matriculating in an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, a US citizen or permanent resident, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. NACME's mission is to increase representation of Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic-American and Native/American Indian in the fields of engineering and computer science. Be Bold "No Essay" Scholarship
The $25,000 “Be Bold” Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. Being bold means being: earnest, determined and moving. The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics. Furthermore, the scholarship will be unique in that it will favor students who apply earlier—who are bold and seize the day without procrastinating. Students applying within earlier application windows will have a greater chance of winning the award. Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered. Hire A Helper Scholarship
Eligible students must be 18 years or older; currently enrolled as high school seniors; in community or technical colleges
; in undergraduate, graduate, or vocational programs in the United States during the 2020-21 school year. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.4. Students must be pursuing a degree that enables them or others in their communities to learn new trades, develop skills and technology, or start small businesses related to moving services offered by HireAHelper. OppU Achievers Scholarship
To apply for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, submit a short essay responding to the prompted question. Winners for the OppU Achievers Scholarship are selected four times a year. To be eligible for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, a student must: be a U.S. citizen or resident, be enrolled full-time in high school or at least part-time in college, graduate, professional or trade school and possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0. American Muscle Student Scholarship Program
Students currently enrolled full-time in an American college, technical institute, or high school seniors planning to attend a college or post-secondary institution are eligible to be awarded a scholarship through this program. American Muscle Student Scholarships are non-renewable, however, winning applicants may re-enter in future contests by writing and resubmitting a new essay. Only one essay per student, per semester is allowed. Scholarships are restricted to those students pursuing an automotive degree or related field of study. To be considered for scholarship, candidates must write a 700-1500 word essay telling who you are and how you plan on using your automotive education to incite positive change and innovation within the custom car industry. Your essay must be submitted as a PDF or Microsoft Word document to

Petroske Riezenman & Meyers Divorce Scholarship
This $1,000 award is for high school seniors and current college students attending a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college for Spring 2020. Special consideration is given for students with divorced parents or who have gone through a divorce themselves. Application information is found at

Robert A. and Dorothy Stender Sweet Physics Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for full-time students majoring in physics. Buffalo State has both B.S. and B.A. programs. Our 3/2 program leads to a physics degree from Buffalo State and an engineering degree from SUNY at Buffalo or SUNY at Binghamton. The Dorothy Sweet Physics Scholarship is $4,000 per year for four years and up to three scholarships can be awarded each year. In order to enter Buffalo State as a physics major the student should have taken pre-calculus in high school. Minimum qualifications are standardized test scores of 1100 on the SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 24 on the ACT test and that the student have a high-school percentile of 90% or higher ranking. Students who qualify for the Dorothy Sweet Physics Scholarship may also qualify for the All College Honors Program at Buffalo State, making them eligible for an additional $2,500 per year. Students who have 1270 (EBW+Math) on the SAT or higher, or a minimum ACT of 27, can qualify for the Presidential Scholarship ($2,500), which is one of the college’s merit-based scholarships. WACE: Advancing Cooperative & Work-Integrated Education has merit/co-op scholarships available.
